OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE

Scaling a Returns
Policy

The first phase of a new returns policy proved the model, but scaling it further raises harder questions: how exceptions get handled, who absorbs the cost, and how much the rules should flex by region. Review what phase one revealed, close the gaps, and shape the framework for its next phase.
Sector: mining & mineral processing equipment.

STRATEGY & MARKET ANALYSIS

Market Intelligence for the PMO

Project decisions get made without a clear, current read on market conditions, leaving the PMO reacting instead of anticipating. Design a market intelligence process: define which signals matter, how they get tracked, and how they should feed into project prioritisation.
Sector: tissue & forest products.

DATA & ANALYTICS

Building a Data Quality Framework

Inconsistent and incomplete data across core systems is quietly undermining reporting and decision-making, and no one owns fixing it end to end. Assess where data quality breaks down, define standards and controls, and build a framework that keeps it that way.
Sector: mining & construction equipment.

From first message to signed offer

Seven to fourteen days, not four months

We do not run an annual campus cycle. A project opens, we write to the people whose background fits that specific question, and we decide inside two weeks. You are never left holding an offer deadline while we finish a season.

Day 0First messageUsually a LinkedIn note, often outside office hours, because that is when people answer.
Day 2 to 4Written caseA real question from a past project. It tests analysis and slide craft. Roughly eight hours.
Day 5 to 9Presentation and interviewsYou present your case to the senior consultants who would staff you.
Day 7 to 14Offer signedProject, rate and start date. No pipeline, no waiting list.

How we hire

Three steps, and we tell you what each one is

Step one · Source

We write to you

We do not post a job and wait. We read for a fit to the project topic first, then reach out. Applications that come to us are read the same way.

What this means for you: if you have relevant work, put it where it can be found. Most of our reach-out happens evenings and weekends.

Step two · Assess

One case, one presentation

A written case assignment built from a real project, then you present it. It tests analysis and slide craft, not brainteasers.

What this means for you: budget about eight hours. You keep the work, and we tell you either way, quickly.

Step three · Retain

Do it well and you stay

Top performers stay in the talent pool and are asked back for the next project. Several have gone on to full time roles here.

What this means for you: one sprint is a door, not a summer job. The second project comes to you.

The odds, stated plainly

39 of 3,018

Between January 2025 and August 2026 we received 3,018 applications and selected 39 people for client projects. Eight of those stayed in the pool and were asked back. We would rather you knew that before you spend eight hours on a case.

What the eight weeks actually look like

Your name is on the model

Weeks 1 to 2

Frame the question

Desk research and the first interviews. You help decide what the question really is before anyone tries to answer it.

Weeks 3 to 5

Fieldwork

Site visits and stakeholder interviews. You run them. This is the part that does not happen in most graduate roles.

Weeks 6 to 7

Build

The model, the analysis, the slides. A senior analyst reviews your work. It stays your work.

Weeks 8 to 10

Hand over

You are in the room. The model goes to the client with your name in it and stays in use after you leave.

Every project is paid, remote and designed for flexibility

The client’s view
“The same project internally would have taken four to six months of calendar time, run beside all the other tasks. The results are now in pilot use.”
